REGISTRATION is now open for Mind Body Bowen, a two-part CPD course coming to the UK in February 2027. This unique course, highly recommended for all Bowen therapists, is presented by Margaret Spicer and Vianne MacBeth (pictured), renowned Bowen Technique trainers from Australia.
The course will be held in Cambridgeshire where Helen is acting as co-ordinator for their visit on behalf of Bowen Training UK.
Mind Body Bowen demonstrates how Bowen therapy can directly influence the physical, emotional and mental aspects that can shape a client’s healing experience.
Therapists can choose to attend Part 1, Part 2 or both parts. Inquiries are welcome from all Bowen therapists, regardless of which training school they qualified, including from other parts of Europe. For student therapists Bowen Technique Module 4 (or equivalent) is the minimum requirement.
Part 1: Mind Body Bowen Foundation
February 6th – 7th 2027
First held in the UK in 2024, this well-established workshop provides the key principles and perceptual awareness of Mind Body Bowen. Constantly refined and updated, the aim is to to explore the link between unresolved emotional or mental issues that often result in chronic or recurring disorders. A ‘hands on’ approach allows lots of time for therapists to experience the profound effects personally. Therapists who attended in 2024 may find this useful revision; alternatively they can attend Part 2 to further develop their skills.
Part 2: Mind Body Bowen in Practice
February 9th – 10th 2027
This new workshop provides a different emphasis around working with Bowen moves and procedures, going beyond the disorders of the musculoskeletal system. The focus is on supporting and assisting the body’s somatic intelligence or ‘inner doctor’ and selecting the appropriate procedure to address a variety of issues – vitality, fatigue, burn-out, reproductive, gastrointestinal – especially chronic or returning disorders linked to prior trauma. Suitable for all qualified Bowen practitioners as well as an ideal follow-up to Part 1.
