In addition, Helen runs a popular Introduction to Bowen Technique workshop giving a broad overview of this little-understood therapy, devised in the 1950s by Tom Bowen in Australia. Sometimes referred to as Bowtech, it comprises a series of precise gentle movements over muscle and connective tissue (fascia) to assist the body to naturally re-balance itself.

Helen’s one-day introductory workshop combines theory and practical sessions suitable for beginners and non-professionals.

I really enjoyed this course and that was a lot to do with the way Helen led the class

Your Intuitive Self

In this sensitive and little-known field Helen is able to make attendees feel entirely comfortable and at ease. Aimed at small groups and one-to-one, Helen’s role as leader helps channel the individual’s own intuitive abilities. Acting as facilitator rather than teacher, she tries to re-awaken people’s innate intuitive skills which are often overwhelmed by the pressures of everyday life. As a master of her own intuition, Helen has worked this way for many years and developed this programme in response to clients who wish to achieve greater self-awareness.

This one-day workshop is recommended for Bowen therapists to further develop and enhance their skills.

Helen’s intuitive style acted as a catalyst helping us progress naturally in the direction that suited us all. As a result I now devote more time to meditation and ‘tuning-in’ to my feelings day-to-day.

Continuous Professional Development

CPD is essential for Bowen therapists to maintain accreditation and continually enhance and improve their professional skills and knowledge. Therapists can progress to more advanced Bowen Technique training or choose a specialist one-off course to focus on a specific area of interest. Advanced modules can only be taught by instructors such as Helen, accredited by the Bowen Therapy Academy of Australia.

Helen offers advanced Bowen Technique Modules 8-10, as well as two of her own specialist courses:

Palliative Care: The Role of the Bowen Therapist Bowen

Your Intuitive Self

A unique opportunity for Bowen and other complementary therapists wishing to improve their extra-sensory perception (ESP) when working with clients. Available also to non-professionals.
